Mark “Sven on the Svea” Stone fished the 32′ double ender from Newport to Eureka. He also fished on the Alpine with John Skamser. In the photo she leaves the anchorage at Humboldt River Coast Guard toward Fields Landing.
Asked in 2010 about the whereabouts of the Svea, he said, “I don’t think anyone had the dedication necessary to keep her going.” -~1978
