The Hill brothers, Ellis and Gene from Astoria, ran the Wyoming and the Elna H. Here they are anchored in Nellie’s Cove. Kenny from Eureka Fisheries told me one time they built a sauna in the plant at the foot of E Street. He came into the plant and they were all running around naked. Brother John had the Garda Marie. Their nephew, Marvin Tolonen, built and operated the Alpine until he sold it to John Skamser around 1970. ~1978 photo
